The Politics of Compliance

There is a type of accountability which is not spoken of in board rooms, public meetings or forums, but that exists non-the-less.  That type of accountability is best labeled the politics of compliance.  Here we will discuss how that works.

First, the background, the foundation.  The goal of systems governance is to establish and maintain a sustainable environment.  Sustainability is only achieved when all systems (or subsystems) are in balance such that the larger system does not fluctuate beyond what is considered acceptable parameters.

In order for a system (or subsystem) to be held in balance, all elements pertaining to that system must be included and must be in compliance.  All really does mean all.

When dealing with inanimate objects, it is not difficult to keep a system in balance, barring man-made or natural disasters.

However, when dealing with animate objects — that which can think, reason, act and react: homo sapiens — keeping the system itself in balance and in balance with other systems and as part of larger systems, is not so easy.  How does the system deal with dissension from within or those who refuse to conform?

The Individual

The recalcitrant, non-conforming individual is the greatest threat to systems governance.  Why?  Because the dissident can (and will eventually) throw the system out of balance.  This is why systems governance must include all.  This is why people are being asked whether they agree or disagree, and if they disagree, to agree not to "sabotage", which equates to tacit approval.

The problem, then, is what to do with those who refuse to go along, refuse to agree to disagree, refuse to become part of the system.  In the words of one world futurist, we are all atoms in a molecule; radical atoms must be exterminated in the greater good of the collective whole.

But we can't do that, you say?  How could Hitler and his minions justify the extermination of six million people, mostly Jewish?  How could they commit the unspeakable atrocities that were committed against the people they exterminated?  Everyone says Hitler was crazy, but Hitler didn't believe himself to be crazy or the orders he gave to exterminate millions of people to be crazy.  Hitler believed himself quite rational, quite sane, in achieving his goal.

If one is a student of history, one knows that Hitler's goal was to create the future in which the world was inhabited by the "master race".  To accomplish that, the rest of the population would have to be exterminated in the interests of keeping the master race pure.

Europe, and especially Germany, has, through the centuries, been a hot bed of philosophical theory and experimentation:  Freud, Nietzsche, Sartre, Hegel, Kant, Wundt, Marx, Engel, Hume, Rousseau, Piaget, Lewin ... to name a few.  The theories of all these men, while different in some aspects, were all based on the same foundation or worldview:  the religion of humanism, the belief that no deity will save us, we must save ourselves; we must create the future, and nothing must stand in the way of creating that future.

In Hitler's Germany, to produce those who would have no qualms about exterminating the "undesirables", values clarification was taught in the schools and systems education was introduced to accomplish the state's agenda.  Children were taught to spy on, report, and turn against their parents and siblings; that right and wrong were relative, conditional; that their values were whatever they wanted them to be; that their peers and teachers were their family.  And from the resulting human resources were chosen Hitler's SS — men who could commit unspeakable human atrocities, without batting an eye, on people in the name of establishing and maintaining the "master race".

Pray tell, how is what is happening today in the name of transformation any different?  The truthful answer is—there is no difference beyond the ultimate goal of establishing and maintaining a master race versus establishing and maintaining a sustainable environment.  The tactics, the underlying philosophy of both are the same:  humanism.  And the goal of both, ultimately, is the same — the establishment of a feudal system in which the few benefit at the expense of the many.

Just as what Hitler established was a closed system, so is systems governance a closed system.  It cannot tolerate true diversity, it cannot tolerate dissension, it cannot tolerate any religion but that which furthers its agenda.  Conformity and compliance are paramount.  And because a certain number of homo sapiens will rebel, will not conform, will not agree to not sabotage, what started as the quiet (non-violent) transformation of America to the Marxian state will resort to the ultimate tools of tyranny.

So, what will be the tools used against those who refuse to conform, are non-compliant?

The way will be "justified" to exterminate or incarcerate "undesirables" in the interests of keeping them from infecting others.  In the USSR, another experiment in systems governance, dissidents and nonconformists were said to have mental disorders and incarcerated for their own good.

But that isn't happening here in the United States!  Really?  Has anyone looked at the disorders being added daily to the psychological aspect of human health?  There is a classification for just about every disorder imaginable.  Every one of those disorders is an abnormality that justifies forced psychological counseling if so ordered by the state.  How about Oppositional Defiance Disorder (ODD) — when one refuses to do what those in authority want him/her to do.  ODD carries the definition of a dissident.

Although parents are largely unaware, children are being psychologically profiled at school, both in the classroom and on the playground.  How do they interact with their playmates?  Do they seek to be the center of attention or are they loners?  Are they bullies or are they bullied?  Are they team players?  How readily are they willing to change their belief system?  And so on ...

All that information is stored electronically on government computers, and will be made available to teachers, school counselors and psychologists (who are not licensed clinicians), and medical personnel; and will, eventually, be made available to employers and law enforcement.  In the words of Dr Shirley McCune, at the 1989 Governor's Conference on Education in Wichita, Kansas, called by President Bush Sr ...

In Phoenix, AZ ... we now have the mayor of the city who has an educator who's job it is to work with the social welfare community and put together a total network of human resource development activities in that community where we can actually provide for all of the needs for the children and adults in that community.  What we know is that the earlier we intervene into the lives of people the cheaper it is ...

People who are deemed to have untreated mental disorders will be denied employment, travel privileges, will be restricted in their movements, will be denied medical attention, will have their children taken from them as happened in the Christine case, as happened in the Wenatchee case, as has happened thousands of times ...

People who are considered dangerous to the attaining and maintaining of the system will be eliminated.  In Nazi Germany, people simply disappeared from their homes in the middle of the night, never to be seen or heard from again.  Too, people were taken off the street in broad daylight and never seen or heard from again — a tactic employed to intimidate and strike fear in the hearts of the people.

People will be subject to harassment, acts of cruelty, and crimes against person and property that will go unabated and unaddressed by law enforcement.  This is a tactic of intimidation.

The message of all these tactics being conform or suffer the consequences of refusing.

Business and Industry

Many times I have heard, "Business will never go for ... "  Yes, business and industry will go for ...  How will that happen?  The mechanisms are being put in place to force business into conformity.

One of the primary ways compliance will happen is through the standards movement, more especially, an organization called the International Standards Organization or ISO.

ISO has established two categories:  ISO 9000 which is human resource standards, and ISO 14000 which is environmental standards.  In order for a company to be ISO 9000 certified, all employees must be ISO 9000 certified in the areas of teamwork, critical thinking, making decisions, communication, adapting to change and understanding whole systems.  Any company seeking to trade internationally, in the global economy, will have to be ISO 9000/14000 certified and any company with which that company does business will have to be ISO 9000/14000 certified, thus creating a pyramid effect that reaches to the doors of even the smallest company.

How are the ISO standards being implemented in the United States?  Through the National Skills Standard Board, whose work is being promoted nation-wide by such non-governmental organizations as the Chamber of Commerce, the Business Roundtable, the Better Business Bureau, the Private Industry Council (PIC), and the Small Business Administration.  No business will be left untouched.

While touted as "voluntary", this certification system is anything but.  Businesses wishing to remain viable will conform.

Medical Professionals and Hospitals

People are already seeing the effect of systems governance in hospitals and doctor's offices.  The standard of care is dropping as patients are denied treatments they need to remain productive or to live.  Why is this happening?

People are not considered people under systems governance, they are not more than human capital, assessed in terms of their worth to the state.  For this reason, that which does not directly benefit the state is rejected ... the human resource whose heart problems keep him/her from strenuous physical labor but who needs heart surgery to continue living ... the human resource whose cancer will leave him/her permanently disabled ...  These human resources are no longer of benefit to the state.  Therefore, unless they can afford to pay for the needed medical attention out of their own pocket, they will not receive it.

"Americans will never stand for that!"  Oh, really?  How many times have Health Maintenance Organizations (HMO's) denied a treatment prescribed by a doctor?  Why are doctors who become preferred providers required to see so many patients in a certain length of time or they don't get paid?  There has been no uprising against this level of treatment by Americans.  As socialized medicine comes more and more into place, people will see here what is happening in Canada — people who need immediate treatment dying in the waiting room or at home because they are on a waiting list for treatment that the illness does not wait for.

Under systems governance, hospitals and health care professionals will only be allowed to give the level of care beneficial to the state, and, like now, it will be done "in the interests of the patient".

Churches and Synagogues

A movement has been underway for several years in places of worship across the United States, something called the Church Growth Movement, or CGM for short.  CGM is to churches what total quality management (TQM) is to business and outcome-based education (OBE) is to schools.  The focus of the church changes from teaching the Bible to filling the pews and making people feel good about themselves.

In order for churches to be tax exempt, they must maintain a 501(c)(3) rating with the Internal Revenue Service.  Such gives the federal government control over what constitutes a 501(c)(3) rating.  Churches that don't voluntarily move to the CGM concept, will find themselves forced to pay taxes.  This has already happened to several churches that adhere to what is termed a fundamentalist world view.

Too, many churches are clamoring to become involved in the federal government's faith-based initiatives in which churches accept federal dollars in return for helping down-and-out people.  The catch, of course, is that, when helping people, the church cannot espouse its religious doctrine and all religious symbols must be removed; essentially allowing the church to be used for the purposes of the humanist religion.

Farmers and Ranchers

People believe farmers and ranchers are, by the nature of their business and product, outside the system, and, therefore, untouchable.  Nothing is further from the truth.  For years the federal government has been offering farmers and ranchers subsidies to grow or not grow certain crops, to shore up prices.  At the same time, farmers and ranchers have been encouraged, through tax breaks and other means (including the money received via subsidies), to buy newer and bigger equipment—expensive equipment that costs in excess of $100,000 to buy and a single repair can cost as much as $5,000 requiring loans to not only buy the equipment but to maintain it.

The government has in place, those mechanisms needed to control farmers and ranchers.  During the last "downsizing", many farmers and ranchers could not meet loan payments because the subsidies weren't there to shore up their bank accounts.  Many lost their livelihoods to foreclosure, and stood by helpless as their farms and ranches were bought up by big conglomerates.

Summation

People say that none of this has or will happen.  It is already happening.  And it has and will continue to happen because of the apathy of the people; the unwillingness of the people to stand up for what is right; the unwillingness of the people to forego the government handouts that serve to keep them enslaved.
