Increasingly, as systems education is implemented, parents are seeing their child or children exposed to environmentalism in the classroom.  Many are concerned by what they are seeing child/ren exposed to.  Well they should be.

Environmentalism is a component part of education reform or systems education for the simple reason that the end goal of systems thinking is to establish a sustainable world, a sustainable environment.  To do that, we must "create the future" which necessitates separating children from the beliefs of their parents, especially if the parents are of the Christian worldview.  The "new child" must be created — a child who believes no higher authority will save us, we must save ourselves ... we must change our society in order to save "spaceship earth" (the Gaia Hypothesis).

Fear is a great motivator, especially in children who do not yet have the years of experience or knowledge to tell them otherwise.  If a child fears s/he will grow up to a "brown earth", s/he is highly motivated to change his/her belief system.  In the classroom, away from the parents, is the natural place for such to occur.  To the end of changing children's belief systems, children are being exposed to what has become known as "doomsday environmentalism", in all its shapes and forms, in the classroom.

There are a multitude of programs, curriculums, and websites out there being accessed and utilized to accomplish the desired end.  One of the major ones, in Washington State, is the Environment Education Association of Washington.  If you visit this website, be sure to browse the Resources page.  Other websites are linked to the left.

The frame to the left also has links to websites promoting common-sense environmentalism and exposing the agenda of the rabid environmentalists whose websites, curriculums, etc, are being used in the government school classrooms.
