Dear Gladys,
You are making assumptions, Gladys,
that aren't borne out by the facts. First of all, I am a researcher of education. That research is of their
documents. I know what education
reform is and what it is intended to accomplish. I also know what part cyber schools,
charter schools, vouchers and “choice” are to play in bringing
everyone (all) into that system. I
also know about Bill Bennett, his gambling habit, the design teams, his outlook
on education, and his support of systems education. His cyber schools are a part of that
system.
Now, if you choose to be part of that system, that is your choice. But what I have said, and what I will
maintain, is that K12 has not represented the facts in selling its K12 program
to people and many have found themselves under the power and control of the
government education system where they do not want to be.
While you seem very concerned about
your rights to participate in something you believe is a “choice”
which might be great short term but long term buys into the system, you seem to
have no concern for the rights of people who do not want to be part of that
system which is their right whether you like it or not.
As for irrational fears, Ms Stefany, do your research before
you make those claims. The research
does not bear you out.
