What you don't understand, Gladys, is that your “experience” — how you feel about K12 — means nothing in the face of the reality of the purpose of K12. Anecdotal testimony just doesn't cut it.

You haven't spoken to the reality of K12 because you can't, having no knowledge of the reality in having no knowledge of systems education, the purpose of it, or what it is intended to do. Instead of realizing that, reading and learning before you spoke, you were so concerned about “your right to choose” that the only recourse you could take was to react emotionally by launching into a verbal attack on me.

You aren't the first and you won't be the last. Not one of you who has come at me in this fashion has ever won the debate of issues because you don't have the knowledge of the system you need to debate the issues. As a result, your responses aren't responses to what I've written, but responses to your personal angst concerning what you don't know.

Nor have you spoken to the reality of what the people behind K12 have said, done, and been involved in themselves, except to try and claim that their actions are “relative“ and mean nothing. This is like saying, “I hate communists but Hillary Clinton is my best friend.”

In closing, to all the people on the K12 loop to which you belong, I would highly recommend to you that you read “The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America” by Charlotte Iserbyt. It is available at Barnes and Noble. There is also a website at www.deliberatedumbingdown.com/.
